About
Tiana Demetriou is a registered acupuncturist and Chinese medicine herbalist practicing in Fitzroy, Naarm/Melbourne. Her work focuses on supporting clients to develop a clearer relationship with their senses, bodies, and internal resources through attentive, hands-on treatment.
Throughout her studies in Chinese Medicine and Eastern philosophy, Tiana works with the idea that the body moves in rhythm with the natural world. Her treatments offer space for clients to untangle the stories held within the body, while supporting them in noticing and responding to physical and emotional signals with greater care and clarity. Tiana believes this attunement is an integral part of the ongoing process of navigating daily life experience, healing, and self-actualisation.
With a deep appreciation for the insight that emerges through consistent and keen observation, Tiana recognises the skills of sensing, feeling, and noticing as acts of resistance within a social and cultural fabric that often rewards disconnection. She sees these embodied practices as powerful tools for collective emancipation and ecological belonging, and is passionate about creating spaces where people can engage and strengthen these ways of relating.
Tiana works one-on-one from Komyuniti Wellness in Fitzroy, and facilitates workshops and community events that explore observation, embodiment, and creative practice as tools for connection and self-exploration.

ARCHIVE
The Body As A Two Way Mirror is a workshop series faciliated by Tiana Demetriou and Chloe Sobejko. This project is a sensory experience which explores the intersection between philosophy, nature, creativity, and somatic practice. This project offers participants principles to explore the ways the five elements, fire, earth, metal, water, and wood are mirrored within our bodies; with the intention of deepening our connection to the earth, ourselves, and encouraging collective healing.
Drawing from relational aesthetics and social practice movements, The Body As A Two Way Mirror focuses on human experiences, sensory feedback practices and participatory engagement as the medium of exploration.
As practitioners of the healing arts, Chloe and Tiana are committed to sharing concepts, practices and insights they have acquired from their clinical and creative practices, to encourage the observation of self, and the world.
Their work is rooted in the belief that connecting to our bodies is an act of emancipation, and a direct challenge to the systems that keep us separate from nature. Specifically, systems that require us to desensitise, in order to dilute our power. Through this, they seek to encourage how connecting, sensing, and feeling our bodies, is inherently tied to the healing of other bodies, community and environment.
